Overdue Inventions
|
It’s 2019 and there are still tasks that should have been made easier by now, such as :
Brushing Teeth- So, we are still expected to stand over a sink and rub a brush over out teeth for 2 minutes? Why is there not some sort of device that we can stick in our mouth, whilst driving in the morning to work, that will brush our teeth.
Making Toast- Why are we still expected to wait 2 minutes for some bread to be toasted?

We don't have wheelie bins where I am so I'd like a dustbin that can automatically tie the top of the black bin liner.

Your wish may be coming true, Chill. A couple of months ago the US Navy published the patent for an anti-gravity craft which can travel at mind-blowing speeds. The UFO community would claim that they have had these kind of vehicles for decades and that they were reverse engineered from the craft that came down at Roswell. They are also saying that this could be the first small step towards disclosure of a whole load of unacknowledged projects that have been going on in secrecy for many years. That's a thread that would undoubtedly get short shrift on here and I'm not saying I necessarily believe it, but it's interesting. Here's the link:

Talking of teeth, dentists should be a thing of the past by now, fucking leeches.
Travel is still shit too, nothing has been invented yet to improve speed/time. We were more advanced in the late 60s when Concorde hit the scene.

An EU army.
I mean, if they're really (REALLY) serious about bossing us about and knowing what's best for us, you'd think that the first thing they'd do is put together a decent set of bouncers.

I often wondered why it took so long for suitcases with built in wheels to become common. I think it was in the 90s when I first saw one.
